11/14/14 - LRFA IS SENDING IT'S FINEST TO HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TECHNICIAN SCHOOL
LRFA is pleased to announce that beginning December 2014, LRFA will be sending nine of its finest to Hazardous Materials Technician training. This comes after the commissioners approved the establishment of a hazardous materials unit for the LRFA. This unit is ordered and expected to be in service as of January 1, 2015. The HazMat unit will be assigned as DECON-6 and stationed out of the Downtown HQ Fire Station. DECON-6 will respond to all HazMat incidents, 2nd alarm and greater residential fires and all commercial fires. LRFA is in the process of establishing a regional HazMat response team that would include other M/A departments HazMat resources to train with the LRFA and respond to each others calls for assistance when needed.

11/12/14 - LRFA SIGNS MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT WITH WASHINGTON HEIGHTS VOLUNTEER FIRE COMANY INC.
Lego Regional Fire Authority and Washington Heights Vol. Fire Co. Inc. have agreed to a M/A contract. Both departments will now provide mutual aid to each other when needed.
11/11/14 - LRFA RESPONDS TO COMMERCIAL FIRE
LRFA E7/L1 were the first to arrive at to a commercial fire at the Pacific-Brick Theature that was originally dispatched as a Alarm Activation. Units arrived and promptly upgraded to a Commercial Fire response. See the INCIDENTS page for more information.

11/01/14 - DELIVERY OF SIX NEW APPARATUS TO OPERATE IN THE LRFA
LRFA receives delivery of six new fire apparatus which includes three new Pierce custom pumpers, two Pierce custom ladders and one Braun NW custom medic unit. All the new apparatus can be viewed on the APPARATUS page
